In response, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has ordered an immediate scale-up of waste evacuation operations, assuring Lagosians that the situation is being addressed with urgency and determination.   The Lagos State Government, through the Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment, has reaffirmed its commitment to youth empowerment and economic development with the successful graduation of participants from the Technical, Vocational and Educational Training (TVET) Programme. The graduation ceremony, themed “Empowering the Youths: From Knowledge to Income,” marked the successful completion of a six-week intensive vocational training programme designed to equip participants with practical, entrepreneurial, and income-generating skills. A total of 500 youths were trained across five vocational fields, including computer and phone repair, photography and videography, graphic design, cosmetology, and mixology, as part of the State Government’s strategic efforts to reduce unemployment and promote self-reliance among young people.
