SANWO-OLU TO OFFICIALLY OPENS NEW ROADS IN AGEGE, IGANDO, IKOTUN
Lagos State is set to add another milestone to its growing list of infrastructural achievements as Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu prepares to commission new set of roads tomorrow, Wednesday. According to a statement by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, the commissioning is part of the state government’s broader efforts to ease traffic congestion, improve community access, and drive inclusive economic growth. Omotoso revealed that in the past few months alone, the Sanwo-Olu administration has completed and handed over 36 roads and 5 strategic bridges to Lagos residents. Among the new projects to be commissioned is the reconstructed Babajide Sanwo-Olu Road (formerly Old Dopemu Road)—a critical bypass that links Akowonjo Road, Old Ipaja Road, and the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.
