The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has praised the appointment of Mr. Olatunji Disu as the acting Inspector-General of Police by President Bola Tinubu. The Federal Government has declared Tuesday, July 15, 2025, as a public holiday in honour of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR. This announcement follows the ongoing seven-day national mourning period declared by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has firmly dismissed concerns that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is steering Nigeria toward a one-party state, calling such fears "unfounded" and "rooted in panic, not fact." In a display of mutual respect and camaraderie, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Lagos State has dismissed any notion of discord between himself and his long-time mentor and leader, President Bola Tinubu during a cordial visit that took place at the President's Lagos resident -  Bourdillon in Ikoyi, earlier today.
