No Discord: Sanwo-Olu Reaffirms Unity in Warm Visit To Tinubu

In a display of mutual respect and camaraderie, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Lagos State has dismissed any notion of discord between himself and his long-time mentor and leader, President Bola Tinubu during a cordial visit that took place at the President's Lagos resident -  Bourdillon in Ikoyi, earlier today.

Sanwo-Olu made the visit with the Lagos APC Governance Advisory Council, GAC.

While fielding questions from reporters, he said "Did you see any discord? That's what we need you to clarify.

"Can't you see, you're smiling, I'm smiling. There's none."

The visit, described as warm and friendly, aimed to reaffirm the strong personal and political ties between the two. Dismissing speculations of a rift, Sanwo-Olu noted that some individuals “believe they are more Catholic than the Pope” and tend to amplify tensions that simply do not exist.

“There are those who cry more than the bereaved,” he added, emphasizing the strength of his bond with his mentor. “Father and son—these are ties we always protect and preserve. He is my father, he is my leader.”

Expressing gratitude, Sanwo-Olu thanked his mentor for the opportunity to meet. “We are grateful that he has given us the audience today to come in and say hello to him.”
