CR7 cools talks on Club World Cup Appearance
There have been speculation about Cristiano Ronaldo, CR7 participating in the maiden edition of the FIFA 2025 Club World Cup in United States of America, USA, including FIFA president, Gianni Infantino who actually stated it could happen.
Speaking ahead of Portugal’s UEFA Nations League final clash with Spain, Cristiano Ronaldo addressed speculation about his potential involvement in the newly-expanded Club World Cup.
Amid rumors linking him to a new team on a short term contract for the tournament, Ronaldo cool off talks of participating in the the competition.
He said he’s unlikely to play in the Club World Cup.
“It’s pretty much decided — I won’t be participating in the FIFA Club World Cup.”
“Despite receiving several offers and invitations, my decision is nearly final. There have been discussions and some interest, but you can’t be involved in every competition. You have to consider the short, medium, and long term. So, despite the approaches, the decision has been made,” Ronaldo revealed.
