Late Chief Dan Agbese The Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has mourned the passage of renowned journalist and one of the founders of Newswatch Magazine, Chief Dan Agbese, describing his death as a colossal loss to the media industry in Nigeria. LAGOS SETS FOR STATEWIDE FREE HIV TESTS TO MARK WORLD AIDS DAY

CEO of Lagos State AIDS Control Agency, LSACA, Dr. Folakemi Animashaun. Ahead of 2025 World AIDS Day, Lagos State AIDS Control Agency (LSACA) is set to commence free HIV tests across the State to mark 2025 World AIDS Day. The programme, scheduled to hold across all Local Government Areas (LGAs) and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) starts on 18th November to 1st December 2025. In a statement released on Monday by the Agency, it noted that the initiative forms a major component of the activities lined up to mark the 2025 World AIDS Day and reinforces LSACA’s commitment to expanding access to HIV testing, promoting early diagnosis, and strengthening linkage to care. The Agency aims to close existing testing gaps while deepening community awareness on HIV prevention, management, and stigma reduction.
