Sanwo-Olu Orders Immediate Waste Evacuation as Lagos Battles Refuse Backlog

In response, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has ordered an immediate scale-up of waste evacuation operations, assuring Lagosians that the situation is being addressed with urgency and determination. According to a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, on Thursday, the Governor directed all relevant agencies and service providers to intensify efforts and work round the clock to clear the backlog of waste and restore normalcy across affected communities.
