A union of civil society groups - Coalition for Good Governance, CGG on Wednesday, has urged the Lagos State Government not to reverse the ongoing clearance of buildings erected under high-tension power lines in Makoko, while calling for immediate implementation of a  comprehensive development plan for the waterfront community. Tinubu Appoints Tunji Disu Acting IGP as Police Leadership Changes

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Tunji Disu as Acting Inspector-General of Police, following the resignation of Kayode Egbetokun. New Acting Inspector General of Police, Mr Tunji Disu. The appointment, which takes immediate effect, comes at a critical time as the Federal Government continues efforts to strengthen internal security and reposition the Nigeria Police Force for greater efficiency and public accountability.
