Tottenham Dismiss Head Coach, Postecoglou Just 16 Days After Europa League Triumph

Ange Postecoglou has been dismissed as Tottenham Hotspur manager exactly two years after his appointment, despite leading the club to Europa League glory just over two weeks ago.

The Australian coach guided Spurs to a 1-0 victory over Manchester United in the final in Bilbao, securing the club’s first major trophy in 17 years.

However, that success came at the end of a dismal domestic campaign in which Tottenham finished 17th in the Premier League, suffering 22 defeats in 38 games.

Brentford manager Thomas Frank is reportedly among the frontrunners to take over. Other names under consideration include Bournemouth's Andoni Iraola, Fulham's Marco Silva, Crystal Palace's Oliver Glasner, and former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, who is currently managing the U.S. national team.
