Chelsea completes Liam Delap's £30m Signing from Ipswich Town

Chelsea FC have announced the completion of £30m deal of their new forward, Liam Delap from Ipswich Town with the striker signing till 2031.

Following Ipswich's relegation from the Premier League, a release clause in the 22-year-old's contract was triggered, which the Blues subsequently met.

Delap scored 12 goal in 2024/2025 Premier League season for the Tractor Boys in 37 matches, and got shortlisted for the Young Player of the Year Award.

The 22 year old had played under the current Chelsea head coach, Enzo Maresca when he played for Manchester City's elite development squad after he played a season with the club's under 18s.

Delap is the second and latest addition to Maresca's side after Dario Essugo completed his signing from sporting Lisbon from Portugal.
