One of the beneficiaries, Ms. Olanrewaju Blessing from Kosofe Local Government Area, expressed gratitude after receiving support through the Lagos State Single Social Register (LASSR). According to her, after years of being enrolled on the register without benefiting from any intervention, she was recently contacted and invited to receive assistance. "I had almost lost hope, but I received a call informing me that I had been selected. Today, I am happy to receive this support," she said. In response, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has ordered an immediate scale-up of waste evacuation operations, assuring Lagosians that the situation is being addressed with urgency and determination.   The Lagos State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to urban renewal with plans to rehabilitate and upgrade major road networks in Ikeja Government Reserved Area (GRA), including Ladoke Akintola Road, Oladipo Bateye/Tayo Ayeni/Adetunji Adeoba roads, and the Sowemimo corridor. Lagos Tops as Nigeria's Best-Performing Sub-National in State Performance Index Ratings

Lagos State has emerged Nigeria’s best-performing sub-national in the 2025 State Performance Index (pSPI), leading other states by wide margins across all sectors. This was revealed in the latest ranking released by Phillips Consulting Limited, Nigeria’s leading business and management consulting firm, Lagos is ranked number one  in the National Assessment Report out of the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja in the Overall pSPI Rank, based on continued strength across key governance and economic indicators. The 2025 State Performance Index (pSPI) identifies Lagos as Top Revenue Performer, stating that "Lagos ranks 1st in IGR per capita, per km², and per trade route." It also ranked Lagos as second in internet penetration and digital access.
