The Federal Government has declared Tuesday, July 15, 2025, as a public holiday in honour of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR. This announcement follows the ongoing seven-day national mourning period declared by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government, noting that the holiday serves as a mark of respect for Buhari’s service and contributions to Nigeria’s democracy and national development. “President Muhammadu Buhari served Nigeria with dedication, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to the unity and progress of our great nation,” Tunji-Ojo said. He urged Nigerians to use the day to reflect on Buhari’s legacy by promoting peace, patriotism, and unity. FIFA CWC: PSG TRASHES REAL MADRID 4-NIL, PLAYS CHELSEA IN FINAL SUNDAY

The reigning European Champions League trophy holder, Paris Saint Germain, PSG trashed Real Madrid 4 nil at the second Semi Final match of the FIFA Club World Cup to book a place in the final to play Chelsea, on Sunday, July 13. Not even Kylian Mbappe nor Vinicius Jr. could pose a threat to the Parisans defence as two goals from Fabian Ruiz, one on either side of Ousmane Dembele's goal in the first half totalling 3-0 seemed enough to have clipped the galacticos and damaged their chances of getting to the final. But the Parisans were not done yet as Goncalo Ramos added the fourth goal at three mins to the end of the match to rub salt on the injury of Real Madrid. Although two defensive blunders could be said to have contributed to PSG's goals but it can't be said that they don't merit it. The Parisans were the better side by far in the contest.
