Chelsea Football Club has emerged the champions of the first edition of the FIFA Club World Cup, beating the PSG 3-0 in the final to clinch the trophy.
Chelsea through Cole Palmer got on the score sheet first, after which he added another. He was also the provider of the third goal scored by the Joao Pedro, all in the first half of the match. Palmer, eventually was presented the Golden Ball of the tournament award (Player of the Tournament).

The Parisians, PSG had been tipped favourite for the tournament, with them making a convincing statement by beating Real Madrid 4-0 in the semi finals; Bayern Munich 2-0 in the Quarterfinals and thrashing Atletico Madrid 4-nil in their the first match.

Howbeit, Luis Enrique's PSG fell to Enzo Maresca led Chelsea F.C. in the final at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, U.S.A.

The U.S.A President, Donald Trump was at the stadium as Special Guest of Honour, who presented medals to the players during the award presntation section of the event.

Chelsea, have now become the first holders of the new format Club World Cup and they are to carry the golden badge on their Jerseys for the next four years as the champion.
