FIFA CWC: PSG TRASHES REAL MADRID 4-NIL, PLAYS CHELSEA IN FINAL SUNDAY
The reigning European Champions League trophy holder, Paris Saint Germain, PSG trashed Real Madrid 4 nil at the second Semi Final match of the FIFA Club World Cup to book a place in the final to play Chelsea, on Sunday, July 13.
Not even Kylian Mbappe nor Vinicius Jr. could pose a threat to the Parisans defence as two goals from Fabian Ruiz, one on either side of Ousmane Dembele's goal in the first half totalling 3-0 seemed enough to have clipped the galacticos and damaged their chances of getting to the final.
But the Parisans were not done yet as Goncalo Ramos added the fourth goal at three mins to the end of the match to rub salt on the injury of Real Madrid.
Although two defensive blunders could be said to have contributed to PSG's goals but it can't be said that they don't merit it. The Parisans were the better side by far in the contest.
Real Madrid, who has the highest collection of the FIFA Club World Cup trophy (6) from the old format were outshined by PSG in the semi final match.
PSG will now play Chelsea in the Final match of the tournament that startd with 32 teams on June 14 - the new format of the FIFA Club World Cup - will be concluded on Sunday, July 13 at the the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, United States of America.
A herculean task awaits Enzo Maresca' Chelsea in the final if they are to overcome the Luiz Enrique marshals in the last lap to clinch the trophy. The world awaits the cracker on Sunday.
