Jack Grealish Left Out of Manchester City's Club World Cup Squad Amid Uncertain Future

Jack Grealish has been omitted from Manchester City’s squad for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, raising further questions about his future at the club.

The England international has seen his role diminish under Pep Guardiola and now faces an uphill battle to reclaim his spot. With two years remaining on his contract, Grealish remains determined to fight for his place, but this latest exclusion could signal the beginning of the end of his City tenure. A summer departure is increasingly likely, with a loan move being considered due to his high wages.

All four of City’s summer signings — goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli, left-back Rayan Ait Nouri, and midfielders Tijjani Reijnders and Rayan Cherki — have been included in the travelling squad.

Meanwhile, Mateo Kovacic misses out due to injury, and James McAtee has opted to represent England’s Under-21 side this summer.

Rodri has been called up as he continues his recovery from injury, while Kevin De Bruyne has not been included in the squad despite being under contract until June 30.
